Officer Ashman responded to a suspect pointing a gun at a vehicle call that originated in Naples near 2450 South 1500 East.

Dispatch updated the call, stating that the suspect, later identified as 37-year-old Timothy Williams, traveling westbound in a white SUV on 500 South.

While Officer Ashman was en route, she heard Sgt Roth on the radio saying he had the suspect's car stopped at 100 West 500 South. Within a few seconds, Sgt Roth stated he had the suspects at gunpoint.

Officer Ashman arrived at the scene and saw Sgt Roth handcuffing Timothy and three other officers with their weapons pointed at the suspect's vehicle.

Trooper Lorensen with the UHP was calling for the female driver, later identified as Sheesa Moore, out of the vehicle.

Once she was detained, the vehicle was cleared, and Moore was checked for weapons and placed in the back of a UHP vehicle.

The victims arrived on the scene, and the officers spoke to them about what had taken place. They stated they were going toward Colorado when an African American man pulled a pistol out of his vehicle and pointed it at them.

The victims said the suspect then turned around, heading back towards Vernal. When they turned onto 500 South, the suspect stopped and got out of his vehicle, pointing the gun at them again. They said that after the suspect got back into his car, he headed towards the airport, where they lost the vehicle.

Sgt Gray spoke to Moore, and she stated there was a BB gun in the center console of the SUV. She said Timothy did pull the gun out while they were driving.

The police found the gun where she said it was. It was black and looked just like a Glock 9mm.

By removing the magazine, Officer Ashman verified that it was a BB gun. Dispatch confirmed that Timothy is a convicted felon.

Moore was given her car keys and released, and Timothy was taken to the Uintah County Jail.

"Williams is a convicted felon, and he made a threat, accompanied by a show of immediate force or violence, to do bodily injury to another by pointing a gun that looked like a Glock 19 at two people. In March 2025, Williams pleaded guilty to a charge of possession or use of a firearm by a restricted person. Due to these circumstances, I am requesting that Williams be held on no bail.”~ Officer Ashman

The current offense is a felony. The court finds substantial evidence to support the charge, and finds by clear and convincing evidence that Timothy Williams would constitute a substantial danger to any other individual or to the community, or is likely to flee the jurisdiction of the court if released on bail.

Therefore, the court orders that Timothy Williams is to be held without bail.
