At around 3 AM, an officer was needed at the Ashley Regional Medical Center on a report that a woman was being treated in the emergency room after being assaulted by her boyfriend.

Officer Escobedo arrived at the hospital and was met by a witness to the incident. The witness stated she had seen the Victim's boyfriend, 38-year-old Danon Shane Parker, grab her by the neck area, pick her up, and throw the Victim to the ground, hitting her head on the front bumper of a pickup.

According to the witness, Danon grabbed his girlfriend with only his right hand and pushed her.

The officer observed the woman lying in the hospital bed with dried blood trailing from the back of her head down to her chest and onto her shirt. She also had a severe laceration to the back of her head, and when asked what had happened, the woman stated she couldn’t recall exactly what had happened.

According to the Victim, she and Danon had been drinking when they began to argue when he pushed her down. The Victim stated she had lost consciousness, and when she woke up, she was on the ground with significant head pain. She couldn't remember precisely how Danon pushed her or how he put he put his hands on her.

In speaking with the Victim, the officer noticed she had red marks on the left side of her neck, and her voice sounded slightly raspy.

According to the third witness, she had seen the Victim and Danon arguing, then saw him grab her by the throat, pick her up, and push her toward the truck. The witness said she could feel the Victim hit the truck while she was sitting inside. She then jumped out of the truck and told Danon to leave.

The third witness said she saw blood everywhere and began to render aid using a shirt she had found. She then took the Victim to the hospital and stated the Victim had lost a lot of blood.

Officers located strands of hair on the passenger side corner of the truck's front bumper.

Danon had left the scene in his truck, which was later identified as a white 2013 Ford F-150. Attempts were made to locate Danon at his residence and another address he is believed to frequent, but was not located at that time.

On the same day at 6 PM, Danon and his vehicle were located at his place of employment. Danon was then stopped, placed under arrest, and transported to the Uintah County Jail.

While at the jail, Danon was advised of his rights, and Officer Escobedo began to question him about the incident. Danon admitted to having pushed his girlfriend, describing that he had pushed her in the area of her collarbone. He also stated he wasn’t aware of the injury she sustained from being pushed.
