Uintah County Man With A History Of Violence, Arrested For Assaulting His Girlfriend

Vernal, Ut.- 1/1/2023, Deputy Embleton responded to a reported domestic violence that was actively occurring.

The call initially came in and then was cut off. On call back, the victim reported that she and her boyfriend, Roger Wesley Rhoades, had been arguing, and Roger had kicked her phone away when he found out she had called the cops.

The victim reported that Roger had also spit on her.

Assisting officers arrived on the scene and detained Roger until Deputy Embleton's arrival.

While speaking with Roger, he stated that he had been in an argument with the victim, and during the argument, he had kicked the victim's phone out of her hands and spit on the victim.

While speaking with the victim, the victim stated the same, causing her right hand to strike a side table. The victim also confirmed that when Roger had kicked the phone, and the phone broke.

The victim also confirmed that Roger had spit on her twice before the officers arrived.

Roger was taken into custody and transported to the Uintah County Jail, were he was booked for simple assault, propelling bodily substance, and Interruption to a communication device.
