Uintah Co. Ut.- On 6/11/23, A vehicle traveling 80 mph on US-40 was stopped by UHP Trooper Carson near mile marker 130.
After greeting the occupants, the vehicle's driver was identified as 29-year-old Geneva Rose Prince. She was asked for proof of insurance, and she said she might not have insurance on the vehicle.
While speaking to the occupants, the Trooper could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Prince said she did have some marijuana in her car on her side and a firearm inside the car as well.
Dispatched informed the Trooper that Prince’s driver’s license was suspended and had a statewide warrant for her arrest.
Trooper Carson performed a probable cause search of the vehicle. During the search, Prince's bag contained the firearm and some bags of methamphetamine. Also in the bag was multiple contraband suspected of heroin and drug paraphernalia. In the door panel was some marijuana.
In Prince's wallet, the Trooper found an ID that was not hers, and she was unable to inform the Trooper who it was and stated she just found it.
Trooper Carson asked Prince when she had last used any illegal drugs. She stated the night before.
A field sobriety test was performed, and Prince showed multiple signs of being impaired.
Geneva Prince was arrested and requested she supply a blood sample at the Uintah Basin Medical Center. Two vials of blood were collected, and then she was transported and booked into the Uintah County Jail.
