A Uintah County Deputy was patrolling in Maeser when he saw a wanted female he recognized as 31-year-old Tara T. Beardall sitting in a vehicle parked on the side of 500 N.

The deputy was aware that Tara had three active no-bail arrest warrants and had possibly been hiding herself from supervised probation.

As Deputy Fairey got closer to Tara, he noticed a male, later identified as Tara's boyfriend, 40-year-old David Allen Foster, standing on the passenger side.

When the deputy pulled up behind the vehicle, Tara jumped out of the driver’s seat and quickly walked away with David.

Deputy Fairey yelled out to Tara, instructing her to stop, but they continued to walk away into a fenced area of a construction business and disappeared from view. David stopped just inside the open gate and claimed he didn't know where Tara had run off to.

When telling David, he was attempting to warn or aid Tara in avoiding apprehension. David denied again knowing that Tara was wanted and repeated that he didn't know where she had gone.

After the assisting units arrived, they quickly located Tara hiding behind equipment directly inside the fenced area, which would have been within David's line of sight. David was then informed that he was under arrest for obstruction of justice.

Tara was taken into custody on the warrants. When questioned about her actions, Tara claimed she didn't know she was wanted on the warrants, and she wasn't trying to evade the deputy. She also stated that she walked away due to her previous interactions with law enforcement.

During the arrest, an assisting deputy saw David attempting to kick a small baggie he had been covering with his foot underneath the gate. The deputy reported that the baggie appeared to contain a white crystalline substance, believing it to be methamphetamine.

A review of David's criminal history revealed an extensive history of drug involvement, including previous felony convictions. His most recent conviction was a misdemeanor for possession of dangerous drugs in March 2025.

David Foster was booked into the Uintah County Jail on charges of misdemeanor A: Possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance, misdemeanor A: Obstruction of justice, and misdemeanor B: Use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tara was transported to the Uintah County Jail by assisting AP&P agents. In addition to the warrants, Tara was booked on the charge of class A misdemeanor failure to stop at the command of law enforcement.

Tara T Beardall may post bail in the amount of $2,500.00.

David Allen Foster may post bail in the amount of $4,000.00.
