Roosevelt, Ut.- On 2/22/2023, officers responded to a 911 call in the area of 315 E 300 S at the Cottonwood Apartments. Upon arrival, officers located two individuals in a vehicle engaging in drug use.

Officers approached the vehicle and made contact with a female, later identified as Raisa Darice Garfield, who was sitting in the driver's seat. Garfield quickly shoved something into her purse and placed it in the center console.

While officers were speaking with Garfield, drug paraphernalia was in plain view in the vehicle's passenger area. Officers asked Garfield to exit the vehicle.

Upon exiting the vehicle, officers asked her for consent to search the vehicle, and she consented to the search of her vehicle and admitted that she had methamphetamine in her purse.

She gave the officers permission to search her purse, and a clear baggie was located. In the baggie were one US Dollar bill and a white crystal substance consistent with methamphetamine.

She stated she had attempted to hide a pen that had been disassembled and burned in the process and for drug use. The search of her purse led to the discovery of two modified pens, a baggie filled with a white crystal substance, and a small baggie with one and one-half small round blue pills.

Post Miranda, Garfield admitted that the meth belonged to her, and the baggie with the small round blue pills was also hers. She stated those pills were Fentanyl.

She also admitted that the pens that had been disassembled and burned in the process were hers.
