Roosevelt Woman Arrested For Aggravated Assault

Roosevelt, Ut.-On 5/16/23, Officer Pedersen was dispatched to a residence of a report that a victim had been struck in the head with a hatchet.

When the Officer arrived and made contact with the victim, he saw he was bleeding heavily from the right side of his head. The victim stated he had gone to see his girlfriend, 30-year-old Kelsey Lynn Boren.

The victim said Kelsey had been drinking, and they started to fight, and Kelsey picked up a hatchet and hit him in the head. The victim said another person had witnessed the entire incident.

Officer Pedersen was able to contact the witness. He became emotional and stated he saw Kelsey swing the hatchet and hit the victim in the head.

Due to the extent of the injuries sustained by the victim, and the statement being corroborated by the witness, Kelsey Boren was taken into custody on the charge of:

Aggravated Assault with Domestic Violence Enhancement.




Roosevelt, Ut.-On 3/22/23, Officer Barton was dispatched to a disorderly in Roosevelt. Dispatch stated the complainant called in, saying people were fighting at a nearby residence.

When Officer Barton arrived, he made contact with a female trying to go out the back door by the name of Kelsey Lynn Boren. He asked her what was going on, and she said nothing.

There was a male subject acting as if he was trying to hide in the living room and was contacted by Officer Bench.

Officer Barton asked Kelsey if he could search her and her purse due to her behavior and known drug history from the residence. Kelsey gave consent, and a meth pipe with a testable amount of meth was found inside Kelsey's purse.

Kelsey said the meth pipe was the homeowner's and to ask him about it.

The homeowner denied the meth pipe was his, and Kelsey was placed under arrest and transported to the Uintah Basin Medical Center for medical clearance.

Kelsey was cleared and transported to the Duchesne County Jail for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
