Officer Maughan was dispatched to the Uintah Basin Medical Center Emergency Room at 402 North 500 West, where the complainant reported that a male had grabbed a pen and threatened to stab someone with it.

When Officer Maughan arrived at the ER, he placed 36-year-old Michaeldavid Grenot Hernandez into handcuffs to detain him.

Michaeldavid was advised of his rights per Miranda and was asked what had happened. He replied that he had threatened to stab himself with a pen.

Sgt. Johnstun spoke with the complainant, who stated that Michaeldavid had threatened to stab somebody with the pen she saw in his hand.

Sgt. Johnstun asked Michaeldavid if he had said anything else when he had the pen, to which he replied that he had threatened to stab somebody.

At this point, the officers determined there was probable cause to arrest Michaeldavid Hernandez on the following charge: Threat of Violence. This was due to Michaeldavid threatening to stab somebody with a show of force by grabbing the pen.

Michaeldavid was then transported to the Uintah County Jail to be booked.

Michaeldavid Grenot Hernandez may post bail in the amount of $690.00.
