Myton, Ut.- On 3/4/23, dispatch could hear a male yelling at the complainant, who was on the phone in the back bedroom, trying to stay away from the suspect with their 4-year-old daughter.

When Deputy Davis arrived at the residence, Officer Shaw with the UHP was inside the home talking with the female and the child. Deputy Priebe was outside talking with 74-year-old Jose Jesus Carrillo next to a vehicle in the driveway.

The Deputies asked Jose what had happened, and Jose stated he asked his wife to make him dinner, and she said, "to make his own dinner, she was not his slave."

Jose was asked if he had put his hands on her. He said they started a yelling match, and he reached out and pushed her in the shoulder because she refused to make him dinner.

Jose has three prior felony domestic violence charges at this same address in 2019.

The victim stated that Jose got upset because she wouldn't make him food, and they started yelling in front of their 4-year-old daughter. She stated Jose threatened to kill her and then pushed her in the chest, making her hit the wall.

The victim called 911 and took her daughter into the bedroom to escape Jose. While on the phone, Jose entered the bedroom yelling and hit her again in the chest so hard she slammed against the wall.

Jose was booked into the Duchesne County Jail for domestic violence charges.
