Deputy Smith responded to a report of a stolen trailer in the Koch Road area of Duchesne County. The trailer was taken sometime between October 9th and October 12th.
A neighbor informed the deputy that 46-year-old Jeremie Frank Walsh rented a property across the road from where the trailer was parked. The neighbor found tire tracks leading onto the property, where the trailer looked like it had been loaded.
The neighbor contacted Jeremie, who admitted to taking the trailer. He pleaded with them not to involve law enforcement and promised to return it.
Despite being given multiple opportunities to return the trailer on October 14th and 15th, Jeremie never complied. Deputy Smith made several attempts to reach Jeremie by phone, but he did not answer.
Deputies from Wasatch County also tried to contact Jeremie at a home in Heber, Utah but were unsuccessful.
Deputy Smith concluded that Jeremie had no intention of returning to Duchesne County.
It was learned that Jeremie has multiple warrants out of Salt Lake County for traffic offenses that he hasn’t taken care of.
As of October 16, 2024, Jeremie has no permanent address in Duchesne County and no reason to return. An arrest warrant has been issued for Jeremie Walsh.
