A man called the police, reporting that his ex-girlfriend went onto his property, opened the door, and took their child. He also said no custodial agreement was in place for her to take the child.

Officer Boren called the child's father, who said that 25-year-old Kaycee Nicohl Anderson had gone to his house and taken the child. He informed the officer that Kaycee was aware that she was not welcome at the residence.

It should be noted that Kaycee had previously been trespassed from the residence by Officer Boren, and she has been charged with similar crimes in the past.

Kaycee told Officer Boren that their 2-year-old son opened the door, and she called for him to come to the door and take him.

The father told the officer that their son could not open the door and had never been able to open a door.

Officer Boren then contacted Kaycee, and she stated that she and the complainant had previously made an agreement that she would pick up her son on July 4, 2025; however, he asked if he could take the child to the rodeo in Neola. She agreed to this.

Kaycee then asked the complainant's girlfriend if she could say goodnight to the child. Kaycee alleges that the complainant's girlfriend agreed to this; however, screenshots of text messages showed that she never received permission to go to the residence and just showed up at the address.

Kaycee also admitted to standing outside his door but never entering the house. She stated that she had approval to drop off a stroller and enter the property, which was why she was visiting the residence. The office inquired if she was aware that she had been trespassed from the property, and she confirmed that she was.

The officer then went to speak with the child's father and his girlfriend at their residence, and they were able to show Officer Boren the text messages and phone calls.

The complainant's girlfriend stated that she had spoken to Kaycee earlier in the day about dropping off the stroller and agreed to have her come to the residence to do so.

However, when Kaycee arrived, she texted his girlfriend to let her know she was there and never stepped onto the property. This indicates that Kaycee was aware she was not supposed to be on the property.

Officer Boren informed the complainant that Kaycee was willing to return their child to him, and he followed the officer to Kaycee's address.

While at the residence, the officer spoke to Kaycee again, and she stated that she had gone over to the house earlier in the day and texted the complainant's girlfriend that she was there to drop off other items but not the stroller.

She continued saying that she was going to drop off the stroller before the complainant left for the Neola rodeo. This did not match what the complainant's girlfriend had told the officer, nor did it correlate with the text messages that he had seen.

On July 5, 2025, Officer Boren returned to the complainant's residence to have them fill out a witness statement. They told the officer that Kaycee had been calling them excessively on this day as well.

The complainant provided the officer with evidence indicating that over 40 attempted or completed calls came from Kaycee. There were also 12 on July 4, 2025, and over 40 contacts on July 3, 2025. This does not include the text messages or the contacts via Facebook Messenger.

Officer Boren was also shown messages that Kaycee had sent saying there was an emergency. However, it was regarding a WIC card and buying formula for the child. During the time of these messages, the child was with the father, so he didn't need the formula at that time. There was also a message saying Kaycee had a question for him and that she was going to ask him in person, to which he did not respond.

This also shows that she was not asked to visit the residence on July 4, 1925. The complainant's girlfriend provided screenshots of her phone call logs, which indicated that she had received over 50 phone calls on July 5, 2025, over 40 calls on July 4, 2025, and at least 20 on July 3, 2025. These calls were made via phone, FaceTime, and Facebook Messenger. This does not include the text messages that had been sent to her.

On July 5, 2025, at 5:30 PM, Officer Boren went to Kaycee’s residence to speak with her again. He asked her how much she had communicated with the complainants, and she said she only called him roughly eight times and her six times.

The officer knew this wasn’t true and placed Kaycee under arrest.
