Duchesne County Man Arrested After Fleeing To Colorado

Duchesne County, Ut.—On Friday, February 23rd, 2024, Detective Hunter received information from a confidential informant (CI) regarding 51-year-old Jason Marv Gilbert.

The informant stated that they were at Jason's residence on 2/23/24, and they saw multiple firearms, methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia inside the home. The CI took a video of the firearms and sent it to the detective.

The CI also provided information about dangerous weapons inside the shop near Jason's residence.

Detective Hunter did a criminal history check on Jason, and it was found he is a Category II restricted person and cannot possess firearms or dangerous weapons. Jason also has past convictions for possession of a Category I or II controlled substance and convictions for assault and domestic violence.

A search warrant for Jason's residence was approved on 2/24/24. On the morning of 2/26/24, deputies with the Duchesne County Sheriff's Office executed the search warrant on the property.
