Roosevelt, Ut.- On 6/7/23, At 6:00 am, Deputy Davis was dispatched to a vandalism call at 2793 West 2600 South in Roosevelt, Utah. Deputy Priebe advised Davis a mailbox was destroyed, and the male subject was arrested for trying to steal a 2000 Ford Expedition.
20-year-old Jayken Bret Ford had a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person, and he began yelling at Deputy Davis and starting to be uncooperative. Pictures of the broken mailbox were taken, and Jayken was taken to the UBMC for a medical release form for the jail.
Jayken blew into a portable breath test, and the results were .147, two times over the legal limit.
A witness statement stated: "The suspect tried to steal his E-Bike, and when they stopped him, the suspect started yelling nonsense and profanity, and the suspect stated that all he wanted to do was go home. The complainant stated that the suspect went across the street and thought nothing of it until they saw the officer and the suspect at his mother's vehicle.”
“The Witness was coming down the road, and there was a guy with a mailbox that was lying on the ground in front of him. Then the suspect came to his workplace, started yelling nonsense and profanity, and tried to take his brother's E-Bike. They stopped the suspect from taking the E-bike."
Deputy Priebe pulled up and watched Jayken walk up to the vehicle parked along the street, get into the passenger's side, jump over to the driver's side, start the vehicle, and put it into drive. Deputy Priebe told Jayken to put the car in park and had Jayken get out of the vehicle. Jayken exited the vehicle and handed Deputy Priebe the keys.
Jayken Ford was transported to the Duchesne County Jail, and while in booking, he became physically non-compliant, and force was used against him. Jayken also has an open case on illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Roosevelt, Ut.- On 3/18/23, RPD Officers were dispatched to an intoxicated minor arguing with a female complainant.
