6/30/23

Vernal, Ut.- On 6/23/23, an intoxicated female fell and had a head wound. Deputy Russell arrived and made contact with the female who was sitting in a chair.

The female was identified as 23-year-old Claudia Marie Nebeker.

Claudia said she had been drinking and fallen and hit her head. Shortly after the Deputy arrived, EMS arrived and began to evaluate Claudia. It was decided that she needed to be transferred to the hospital for further evaluation because of the cut on her forehead.

Once Claudia arrived at the Ashley Regional Medical Center, she was taken inside the examination room, where she kicked a female nurse in the face and neck.

Deputy Russell responded to the hospital, contacted Claudia again, and warned her that she would now be taken to jail for assault.

Nebeker was taken to get a CT scan for her head wound, and while in the room, she was yelling and swearing at the nurse. Deputy Russell warned Claudia to stop, or she would be charged with disorderly conduct.

Once the CT scan was done, Nebeker was taken back to the examination room, where she continued to scream and swear at the nursing staff and the doctor. The Deputy told her she was now being charged with disorderly conduct.

The doctor cleared Claudia Nebeker, and was then transported to the Uintah County Jail, where she was booked on charges of intoxication, disorderly conduct, and assault.
