Roosevelt, Ut. On 11/26/23, at around 11:30 pm, officers were dispatched to a report of an 911 unknown call at 1128 W US-40 Top Stop. Dispatch reported that a female had been assaulted, and the suspects had left in a yellow truck driving toward Lapoint.
Officers searched for the yellow truck in Roosevelt from Subway to the Ballard Maverick, and there was no sign of the yellow truck. Dispatch put out an ATL (Attempt To Locate) on the vehicle.
Officers went and spoke with the complainant, and she stated that her boyfriend, 41-year-old Jarrod Timothy Reed, needed a vehicle to get to Wyoming in the morning to check in with his probation agent. The female stated that she had gone with her mom to meet Jarrod at the Top Stop to exchange the vehicle.
The girlfriend said when she arrived, Jarrod was there, and another couple was there. Jarrod stole his girlfriend's yellow truck while she jumped in the back. She said Jarrod turned around and elbowed her in the face. The truck came to a stop, and Jarrod turned around and began to punch his girlfriend in the face multiple times.
The victim managed to get out of the truck, and Jarrod sped off. Officers found an address for Jarrod in Lapoint and had Uintah County go to his residence to see if the yellow truck was there, but there was no yellow truck parked at his residence.
The Officers took pictures of the victim's wounds. She had red marks on the left side of her face and around her left eye.
Jarrod Reed was located on 11/28/23 by another agency, placed under arrest, and then transported to the Duchesne County Jail.
