Vernal, Ut.- On 6/11/23, Deputy Russell saw some known subjects walking from the parking lot toward the Uintah County Jail.

One of the male subjects was 30-year-old Aaron Justice Shiozaki, whom the Deputy knew to have several active arrest warrants. Deputy Russell decided to approach Aaron after he arrived at the doors to the jail.

As Russel approached the man, he stood up from his seated position and began to have a conversation, and Aaron started to become nervous during their interaction.

Deputy Russell asked the man if he was Aaron, and the man replied that he was not and said his name was Nick Labrum. When asked what his date of birth and social security number was, "Nick" stuttered and stumbled and was unable to answer the Deputy.

Deputy Russell turned up the heat on the man and told him that he knew he was Aaron, and he knew he had given him a false name. The man was informed that it was a fact he was Aaron Shiozaki and that he had several warrants, and since he gave the Deputy a false name, he was going to have another charge.

Russell told Aaron he was under arrest and walked toward him, and Aaron began to walk backward to avoid the Deputy. Russell immediately grabbed hold of Aaron and placed him into handcuffs.

Sgt. Gray with the Naples City Police was there to assist Deputy Russell. They asked Aaron if he had anything on him that would get him in trouble. Aaron told them he had several illegal narcotics, such as heroin, Fentanyl, and meth, on his person and in his backpack.

The Officers searched him and his backpack and found several items of illegal narcotics. All the items were seized and secured, then booked in as evidence at the Uintah County Jail.

Aaron Shiozaki's charges were enhanced, and he was booked into jail for the charges in the 8th District Court for:

USC 76-8-507 MA False information to a police officer with the name given as an actual person. USC 58-37-8 F3 Possession of Controlled Substance for Methamphetamine. USC 58-37-8 F3 Possession of Controlled Substance for Heroin. USC 58-37-8 F3 Possession of Controlled Substance for Fentanyl. 58-37a-5 MB Possession of paraphernalia. Along with four Statewide arrest warrants out of Vernal City Justice, Uintah County Justice, and 8th District Vernal.
