A Man Pepper Spray’s His Girlfriend When She Attempts To Hit Him With A Copper Pipe

By Travis Uresk 11/6/23

Duchesne Co. Ut. 10/23/23, At around 9:00 p.m., Deputy Borrelli responded to a domestic dispute that occurred East of Duchesne. When the Deputy arrived, a male was in the driver's seat of a gray car parked down the road.

The male was identified as Daniel, and he stated while he was trying to leave the property, his girlfriend, 44-year-old Daje Hannah Aldama, attacked him. When Daje rushed toward Daniel, he used a key chain pepper spray on her. Daniel then jumped into his vehicle.

Deje then grabbed a metal fence post and hit the windshield and hood of the vehicle, causing damage to the glass and hood. Daniel then drove away, parking down the road.

When Deputy Borrelli made contact with Deje, she said Daniel was threatening her and held a big knife to her throat. He then took her phone and car keys and tried to leave. When she tried to go after him, she was pepper sprayed. Deje then said she used the two pipes to attack his car. When asked about Daniel attacking her, the details were changed, and she was unable to provide further details. Daje did give details on the keys and her phone, which Daniel had taken.

The vehicle Daniel was driving was searched, and no keys or phone was located inside. Daniel did not have the keys or phone on his person, and he stated the keys could be anywhere due to her losing them constantly.

Deja was placed under arrest and handcuffed.

Deja wanted the small brown purse she was carrying to be left at home. The bag contained a knife on the outside and was placed in the bag. When the bag was opened, a small container was seen with a white crystal residue around the edge. When the Deputy opened the container, it contained a small crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine, which tested positive for methamphetamine.

Deja was transported to the Duchesne County Jail and booked for aggravated assault, criminal mischief with damage over $500, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
