A Man Digging Through A Dumpster At A Body Shop Gets Arrested

Roosevelt, Ut.- On 2/23/23, Deputy Davis with the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched for a Suspicious vehicle and people going through the dumpster at Hirschi's Auto Body located at 2550 West Hwy 40 in Roosevelt, Utah.

Officer Barton with Roosevelt Police Department arrived before. He detained a 2002 GMC Truck that later identified the driver as Joseph Wesley Duncan, who refused to give his name after being asked several times.

Joseph had a pocket scale for measuring drugs with residue found on it and a Meth pipe made out of glass in his front pocket. There was a black tar substance in a small baggy of approximately 1 gram, Meth located in a small baggy of roughly 1 gram located in a tattoo bag found in the truck on the back seat.

Joseph said he does tattoos for a living and has a tattoo kit in the truck.

There were several empty small baggies in the tattoo bag that are also consistent with drug distribution materials.

Deputy Davis asked Joseph, seated in the transport vehicle, if he had taken any Heroin tonight. Joseph stated that he had only been doing Meth and Drinking alcohol.

Deputy Davis noticed something in Joseph's mouth, asked what was in his mouth, and ordered Joseph to spit it out. He spit out two small baggies; one baggie had a white crystal substance consistent with Methamphetamine. The other baggie had two pills that had been dissolved in his mouth.

Joseph had a Suspended Failure to Appear Drivers License, and six other outstanding warrants.
