Man steals a female’s phone, telling her to give him money, and tries to sell her pictures on social media

Roosevelt City Police responded to a residence on reports of a theft. Dispatch advised that 30-year-old Michael Robert Flores stole a phone and other belongings from the complainant.
Dispatch also advised that Michael was posting photos of the complainant on her social media page.
When Officer Arnold arrived on the scene, he spoke with the complainant, who explained the situation.
Around 9/16/2024, the complainant and Michael were involved in a domestic violence situation. Deputies with the Uintah County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene, and Michael was placed into custody. According to the complainant, one of her phones was taken to jail with Michael during the investigation.
After Michael was released from jail, the complainant said she waived the Jail Release Agreement, so she and Michael had been in contact. The complainant said that in the days since she had been trying to get her phone and belongings back, but Michael kept refusing.
The complainant said she last saw Michael on 10/1/2024 and believed everything was fine at the time. On the morning of 10/2/2024, Michael began posting on the complainant's social media, telling her to give him money and trying to sell her photos.
The complainant called, and Officer Arnold responded. During the conversation with the complainant, she told him that Michael had tons of photos of her that he was trying to sell. The officer collected a statement from the complainant, and she provided screenshots of Michael trying to sell photos of the complainant.
On 10/4/2024, the Uintah County Sheriff's Office deputies advised that they were out with Michael at the Ballard City Offices.
Officers with the Roosevelt Police Department responded, and Michael was placed into custody and transported to the Duchesne County Jail and booked on charges of sexual extortion.
