On 10/29/24, an employee found an empty shoe box, went through their security cameras, and found the person who took them. Using the cameras the employee followed a female suspect and noticed she was taking other merchandise.
Stewart's Market Place employees took inventory of everything the female suspect had taken, totaling $407.94.
Officer Adams collected a copy of the video and a witness statement from the employee.
On the video, the officer saw a Caucasian woman wearing all black with blue and purple hair wondering through the store, grabbing several items. She is seen in an aisle placing merchandise in a bag and carrying a shoebox that was the same one that was found empty.
The woman then carried a bag full of merchandise and walked out of the store, not to the register.
Sgt. Harrison identified the female suspect as 35-year-old Kasiah Ann Alvarado.

Kasiah was reported shoplifting again at Stewart's Marketplace on 11/01/2024. Officer Adams responded and identified Kasiah as the suspect seen in the video shoplifting on 10/29/24.
After Kasiah was read her rights, Sgt. Harrison and Officer Adams interviewed her, and she admitted she had stolen the merchandise that day.
Kasiah had previously stolen merchandise at Stewart’s and is being charged with a class A misdemeanor for qualifying previous incidents.
Based on the affirmation of Officer Adams, the arresting officer, the undersigned magistrate finds that probable cause existed for the arrest without a warrant of Kasiah Ann Alvarado. and may post bail in the amount of $1,000.00.
