Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office Issues An Arrest Warrant For A Male Who Threatened To Kill His Ex

The Duchesne County Sheriff's Office started an investigation on 2/1/25 into a protective order violation involving a 20-year-old female and 30-year-old Mark Michael Robert Flores.
There was an active protective order out of the 8th District Court Duchesne involving the two. It was served on November 4th, 2024, and was active until February 11th, 2025.
The female provided text messages between her and Mark from their month-long conversation. The messages were dated between December 2024 and the middle of January 2025.
The detective reviewed the messages threatening the female. In some of the messages, Mark stated things like, "I will kill you," "Go fuck yourself," "Keep fucking with me whore," "Watch your back," and "Maybe I should come over there and beat the fuck out of you."
There were also multiple selfie photographs shared between Mark and the female.
On 2/5/25, Detective Kearney interviewed Mark by telephone. He stated that the phone number that sent those messages wasn't his; it was his mother's. He didn't send any text messages to the female, and the text sent would have been from his mother.
On 2/12/25, the detective went to Mark's mother's residence. She informed the detective that Mark didn't live there all the time; he just came and went. She said the phone number was a phone she owned but activated under Verizon for Mark sometime in December. She stated that it wasn't her primary phone, and she hadn't sent any threatening messages to anyone from that phone number.
Detective Kearney called Mark and informed him that he would be arrested for violating the protective order. Mark agreed to turn himself in and to meet the detective on February 19th, 2025, after his court hearing.
On 2/19/25, Mark didn’t show up at the meeting spot to be arrested as agreed upon.
