An intoxicated female arrested with two warrants for prohibiting her to consuming alcohol

5-15-25

| Roosevelt, Ut. | May 10th, 2025 |

At 8:45 PM, Roosevelt City Police Officer Bellon watched a vehicle park in the Stoneridge Apartment at 150 E 800 South and saw the driver exit and enter one of the apartments where a known individual has warrants.

The officer went to the apartment, where the door was partially opened, and could see a person sitting inside.

Officer Bellon knocked on the door and asked if 44-year-old Melissa Jean Lough (Gilmore) was there.

Melissa came to the front room and sat on a chair. Melissa had two active warrants for her arrest issued by Vernal City Justice for Alcohol Interdicted, and Melissa was alcohol interdicted, prohibiting her from purchasing, possessing, or consuming alcohol.

The officer informed Melissa of her warrants, which she said she was aware of.

Due to medical concerns, Melissa was transported to the Uintah Basin Medical Center to obtain a medical clearance. At the hospital, she was advised of her Miranda rights and asked how much and what she had to drink. Melissa stated that she drank a pint of whiskey.

Melissa blew into a PBT, which indicated she had a blood alcohol level of .418. Officer Bellon told Melissa she was going to be charged with consumption since she is alcohol interdicted.

After obtaining a medical clearance, Melissa Lough (Gilmore) was transported to the Duchesne County Jail to be booked on the warrants and unlawful purchase by an interdicted person.
