Three arrested in Lapoint for the distribution of Meth.

Lapoint, Utah (4/24/26)—On April 23rd, 2026, police received information that there were about 4 pounds of Meth at the residence. The next day police requested a search warrant for 7571 E 10000 N in Lapoint, Utah.
The information police received was that 43-year-old Gayl Linn Rasmussen, 26-year-old Austin Rilee Hague, and 47-year-old Steven Blaine Hague were involved in distributing large amounts of Meth throughout the Uintah Basin, primarily in the Lapoint area.
The individual stated he personally saw the Meth, and where it was being stored.
The search warrant was for any and all illegal narcotic/controlled substances and drug paraphernalia used to consume, package, or distribute controlled substances. Any and all buy/owe documents (computers, cellphones, and hard copies of money transactions) which would tend to show records of distributing controlled substances.
Cell phones are commonly used to facilitate illegal drug transactions by using text messages, social media, and various platforms and apps.
Cellphones and portable electronics belonging to Steven Hague and Gayl Rasmussen were seized as evidence.
The search warrant was approved, and agents from the Uintah Basin Narcotic Strike Force executed the search warrant. While at the address executing the search warrant, Meth, Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were found.
Austin Hague was at the address when the warrant was executed and was detained and identified. While identifying Hague, Central Dispatch informed the officers on scene that Hague had an active warrant out of the Centerville Justice Court. Austin was arrested and transported to the Uintah County Jail without incident.
The agents were informed that 3 juveniles under 18 years of age lived full-time at the residence. The residence was in poor condition, and multiple items of drugs and paraphernalia were easily accessible to the juveniles.
Gayl Rasmussen told agents the Meth inside her room at the residence was hers, and that in the past she had distributed Meth. Rasmussen was arrested and transported to Uintah County Jail without incident. Upon interviewing Rasmussen again at the jail, Rasmussen stated that the Meth inside the room was hers and reiterated that she had distributed Meth in the past.
Gayl Rasmussen was booked into the Uintah County Jail Jail on Possession of a C/S (Meth), Possession of a C/S (marijuana), Possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession with intent to distribute, and 3 charges of Endangerment of a child.
At the jail, Austin was asked by agents if he would be willing to speak to them after being Mirandaized, and he stated that he would. Austin told the agents he had marijuana in the residence the day before, but had smoked it all. He was then asked about the Meth they found in his wallet in the front room on the table. Austin acknowledged the Meth in the wallet and stated exactly where it was.
Austin Hague was booked into Uintah County Jail and booked in on the active warrant out of Centerville Justice Court, Possession of a C/S, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
Steven Hague was arrested and transported to Uintah County Jail without incident. Agents Mirandized Steven Hague, and he agreed to speak with them. Steven admitted that he had Meth and paraphernalia in the bedroom of the residence, and went on to tell the agents where it was located.
Steven Hague was booked into the Uintah County Jail Jail and charged with Possession of a C/S (Meth), Possession of drug paraphernalia, and 3 counts of Endangerment of a child.
