An 18-year-old arrested for posting a video on Snapchat saying, "I'm going to shoot him in the head."

On 3/6/2026, the Roosevelt Police Department was informed that 18-year-old Ryder Jay Crowley made threats against his life via Snapchat by saying that he was going to shoot him in the head.

The caller stated that Ryder also contacted a female and told her he was going to shoot the complainant in the head. The complainant showed the officer a video that showed Ryder saying, "I already told him I was going to shoot him in the head."

Later, Officer Bellon was contacted by the complainant again, saying that Ryder contacted him, and said that he was in Duchesne to grab a firearm from his house and then to the complainant's home, where he was going to shoot him and then himself. The complainant stated that he was in fear for his life as he had been contacted by Ryder several times throughout the night, and had knowledge that Ryder had access to a firearm.

The officer was able to get in contact with the female, who confirmed that Ryder had told the complainant on the phone that he was going to shoot him in the head and then later kill himself. She also claimed Ryder was going to shoot the complainant because he had been with his girlfriend.

Officer Bellon located Ryder at Constitution Park, where he asked him if he had been making threats toward the complainant, but he denied making them.

Ryder was placed under arrest for threats of violence and transported to the police department, where he was read his Miranda rights. The officer again asked Ryder about the statements where he admitted to telling the complainant he was going to shoot him. He stated that he gets mad and can’t remember all that she says.

Ryder Crowley was later transported to the Duchesne County Jail.
