Roosevelt City Police received a call stating a male had hit his wife and was being belligerent with her.
When Officer Wheeler arrived on scene, the husband stated his wife, 39-year-old Atissa Anne Bennett, had drunk about two fifths of peach Vodka when she became belligerent with him.
The officer went and spoke with Atissa, and she said that her husband had hit her while they were in the hallway and then shoved her down the stairs. While she was explaining what had happened, Atissa became argumentative.
Officer Wheeler spoke to a witness who stated he was in the house during the incident, and Atissa was never pushed down the stairs, and her husband never hit her, but she was yelling at him.
Atissa Bennett was placed under arrest, and while being arrested, she became argumentative, resisted everything the officers asked her to do, and started yelling and screaming at law enforcement after being commanded to cease and desist.
