A Uintah County Deputy finds a male hiding behind a tree covered in mud and leaves

Naples, Ut.- Officer Nielsen was called to 150 West 100 South for a possible domestic disturbance.

When the officer arrived, he found there was no active domestic in progress. Officer Nielsen knocked on the door, and an individual was found hiding behind a tree West of the residence. The male was covered in mud and leaves.

The male, when asked why he was hiding behind a tree, said he was scared. When asked why he was scared, his answers didn't make sense, and he said he was coming from Baker Street. There are no streets with that name in the area.

The male stated he was going to a friend's house two houses down but couldn't provide the friend's name.

Officer Nielsen identified the male as 26-year-old Richard ooitz Pete by his Idaho driver's license. Richard said he was staying at the Sage Motel and pointed toward the West. The actual direction to the motel was straight North of their location.

As the officer was speaking with Richard, he was swaying back and forth, slurring his words and not making any sense when he spoke. Richard stated he had drank ten beers that night.

Richard was arrested for intoxication to the point he was a danger to himself and someone else. Richard said he would be willing to do a breath test. After he was medically cleared, he completed the breath test. Richard's results were .246 BrAC.

Richard Pete was transported and booked into the Uintah County Jail, where he was held on bail for $230.00.
