A Roustabout Company truck found on fire early Saturday Morning. Man Arrested For Arson

Vernal, Utah—On Saturday, March 14th, 2026, at around 5:30 in the morning, it was reported that a white 2022 Ram 5500 pickup was found on fire in the area of 1491 East 500 North.
It was found that the registered owner of the pickup was B&B Roustabout. Assisting Officers on the scene of the fire found what appeared to be brush and straw debris inside the cab. The fire appeared to be intentionally set, as no individuals were found in the immediate area. The pickup was also seen with front-end damage to the passenger headlight. The headlamp was missing multiple pieces and was hanging by some wires still attached to the vehicle.
Another complainant drove by the area where the B&B's business is located after the vehicle was reported. The complainant found that the gate to the business had been demolished and was almost in the roadway. The damage appeared to be from a vehicle striking the gate.
B&B reviewed their video footage covering the gate, the entrance to the yard, and the north side of the yard. While viewing that video, an individual later identified as 22-year-old Kaden Cash Bell was wandering in the B&B yard, which is not accessible to the public.
Kaden was seen earlier at a bar in Vernal, where he was kicked out due to being severely drunk. Law enforcement was provided video footage of Kaden at the bar with his hands raised, showing his palms to the camera, with his right palm actively bleeding.
Kaden was identified by his license, which he provided to the bar, and was seen wearing a similar button-up shirt with an open collar, as was the male seen in the surveillance video at B&B. The male in the video footage had a similar stature, walking cadence, and hairstyle, and was wearing boots similar to those found at the B&B scene. It was later confirmed that Kaden's Utah license status was revoked for an alcohol offense, and an ignition interlock device was required.
Also, in the surveillance video, Kaden was seen entering a semi truck, then getting in, starting the 5500 Ram truck, driving off, colliding with the gate, and leaving the area around 3:30 am.
On the video footage, the truck is seen returning to the lot multiple times, and Kaden is seen looking through the semi again. After speaking with additional witnesses, it was found that Kaden was attempting to locate his cell phone, which he had dropped in the semi.
Assisting Officers located video from the 7-Eleven convenience store, at 501 East Main Street, showing the truck passing the store traveling northbound on 500 East. After a short time, the vehicle is seen returning onto Main Street from 500 East. The vehicle began traveling eastbound back to B&B.
It was later discovered that there was broken glass on the ground, the driver's side window of the semi truck was broken, and the ignition was in the on position. It appeared that Kaden attempted to start the vehicle, but because it was an older model, it required additional steps to get the engine to start.
Both the semi and the Ram pickup had blood stains. The semi was seen with what appeared to be blood stains on the driver's seat cushion and seat backing. The pickup had what appeared to be a minor blood stain on the driver's door handle.
According to the additional witnesses, Kaden arrived at their residence at approximately 4:00 am. Kaden asked them to help him find his phone. The additional witness reported Kaden stating he stole a truck and that he was going to "torch" it. The witnesses reported seeing Kaden driving a truck with a "B&B Roustabout" sticker on the side. The witness also saw damage to the front end of the pickup found at the scene of the fire.
A supervisor with B&B stated their fleet is equipped with a generator, extinguisher, and several other tools. The extinguisher and generator were missing from the Ram truck at the time it was located.
After law enforcement had identified Kaden, they discovered his last known address in East Meadows at 126 North 500 East. Police found multiple oilfield-type tools commonly found in an oilfield company vehicle. Among those items found in the front yard were a fire extinguisher with a green 2026 tag, multiple come-alongs, a black sledgehammer, a longer metal chain, and a red Rigid bench chain vise. These items were worth approximately $1,500.
Police also found fresh dual tire tracks matching the tread and width of the stolen Ram pickup near Kaden's residence. Behind the passenger side of the white passenger vehicle and the west side of the trailer, a Predator generator was located, somewhat concealed. From the tire tracks were additional tracks caused by the generator. These tracks appeared to be caused by someone dragging the generator. Additionally, parts of the pickup's headlamp were located by additional officers in close proximity to Kaden's residence. The white passenger vehicle is registered to Kaden Bell.
Law enforcement determined there was probable cause to arrest Kaden Bell after he unlawfully trespassed onto B&B and unlawfully operated a motor vehicle belonging to B&B. While attempting to operate the Semi, Kaden broke the vehicle's window. Kaden then used that pickup to intentionally strike the locked gate belonging to B&B. Kaden did not remain in the area to report the collision and left the scene. The estimated cost of the fence was approximately $3,000.
Kaden was later located by assisting officers on a traffic stop and was transported to the Vernal City Police Department for questioning. Kaden was advised that he would be under arrest for multiple criminal offenses.
