A man tells police he was sitting in his room when his roommate came in and threatened to kill him

Vernal, Utah— On April 7th, 2026, Vernal City Police were dispatched to a disorderly conduct at the 160 E 881 S apartment complex.
According to the victim, his roommate, 30-year-old Marcus Paul Jenson, came into his room and threatened to kill him, and he had locked himself inside his bedroom. Call notes stated the dispatcher could hear Marcus screaming through the closed door.
Cpl. McCurdy arrived at the apartment, and Marcus opened the door, inviting the officer inside.
While the officer spoke with Marcus, he acknowledged that he and his roommate were having a disagreement, and he got angry and said some things that he shouldn't have. He told Cpl. McCurdy threatened to kill his roommate, and he was upset with the fact that his roommate provided his phone number to someone else.
According to the roommate, the argument was about the apartment's cleanliness. He told the officer that Marcus had threatened to kill him if he texted, talked, or looked at Marcus again.
Marcus Jenson was arrested and transported to the Uintah County Jail.
