Ballard, Ut.- On 2/27/23, Deputy Helms was dispatched to a residential burglary detail. The homeowner advised Deputy Helms, a male he knew as Jesse Doyle Clark, had broken a window at home and threatened him with a knife.

When Deputy Helms arrived at the residence and contacted the victim, he said Jesse arrived at his home and banged on the windows. According to the victim, he opened the door on the north side of the residence and asked who was there.

The victim said Jesse (JD) pushed his way into the residence and had what the victim referred to as a butcher knife in his hand. Jesse was looking for the victim's son and a female.

The homeowner said he drove his son and a female friend to Jesse's house in Gusher earlier that day.

According to the victim, Jesse broke out the bedroom window with the knife, and Jesse threatened him with the knife while he was in residence.

The victim told the Deputy that Jesse was wearing all black and had a blue bandanna on his face.

Deputy Helms asked the victim if Jesse had the bandanna on his face when he entered the house. The victim said he had the bandanna around his neck.

The victim positively identified Jesse Clark as the person who entered his residence, threatening him with a knife, and showed Deputy Helms security camera footage of Jesse arriving at the residence.

Jesse is currently being supervised by Adult Probation and Parole. Deputy Helms contacted the on-call agent and gave him the information.

Before Deputy Helms's arrival, Jesse left the area and could not be located.

A few hours later, Adult Probation and Parole found Jesse, and he was taken into custody and transported to jail.

Deputy Helms went to the jail to speak with Jesse and read him his Miranda Rights. He advised he understood his rights and declined to speak with the Deputy.

Jesse Clark was booked into the Uintah County jail for residential burglary, aggravated assault, and criminal mischief.
