| Duchesne County, Ut. | October 12th, 2024 |

At around 8:53 pm, Duchesne County Deputies were dispatched to a welfare check. The call notes stated that a woman dressed in black was seen running in the street while yelling and crying out, "Leave me alone!"

Deputy Green and Deputy Woodhouse made contact with the complainant, who explained the woman was heard yelling in the street and crying out while lying on the ground that someone was after her and they had her children.

The complainant said they approached the female and asked if they could help her, and she screamed and began running.

The reporting party explained the woman was a short, white female with light-colored hair wearing all black, and she had bandages on one of her hands and tattoos on her back. The complainant stated they believed she could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Deputy Woodhouse began driving in the direction the reporting party said the woman ran towards, where he observed a black sweatshirt on the ground off the side of the road. Deputy Green quickly joined his partner, and the two began searching the area for the female.

While pursuing the investigation of this incident and searching for the suspect, Deputies encountered 35-year-old Nathan Daniel Ulrich on a property he proclaimed as his own and claimed to be visiting the area with friends.

The deputies explained they were searching the area to perform a welfare check on a woman who may be intoxicated or mentally ill and/or in danger. They asked Nathan if he had seen anyone similar to the descriptions given of the woman, and he explained he had not seen her and that all five people of his party were accounted for and up at the house. Nathan stated he would keep an eye out for the deputies and keep them informed if he sees anyone matching the description.

The deputies spoke with Nathan for several minutes, during which Nathan denied having any idea of the situation they explained to him.

Minutes after leaving Nathan to continue their investigation, the Deputies were called back to the property by the owner, who informed them that Nathan had just been bragging to him about lying to and deterring the deputies while knowing the girl they were looking for was in his home sitting on the couch.

The property owner stated he didn’t want the police bothering his neighbors, so he solved the problem himself and told the deputies what happened. He then guided the deputies to his home while explaining to them that everyone present, including himself, had been drinking all evening.

Deputy Green and Deputy Woodhouse walked up to the home and met with Nathan and his wife, who matched the description of the female they had been looking for.

Deputy Green spoke with Nathan's wife, who is identified as 32-year-old Paige Nicolle Ulrich. The deputy observed that she was heavily intoxicated and was unable to hold a conversation.

Paige and Deputy Green attempted to continue discussing what had occurred, and she said Nathan started arguing with her, and she had to go for a walk. Paige's story began leaping until she stated she was attacked and sexually assaulted. The deputy asked by whom, and she didn't know. She started explaining another story, proclaiming she had a rough childhood. Paige then began crying out, "Don't take him (Nathan) to jail, Take me!" and "Take him and take me to a psych ward" while expressing suicidal idealizations in between.

The deputy was pulled aside, and the property owner stated that Paige had been having a progressive problem since earlier in the evening when she and Nathan both started to drink and argue, and it had been disturbing everyone. He asked that Paige be trespassed and removed from the property.

It was explained that Paige seemed fine one minute while everyone was playing cards together and drinking and then just "freaked out, and she just left suddenly and slammed the door. "A female stated she was unsure if Paige had taken any medications due to a recent car accident she had been in.

The deputies stepped aside to discuss what they had heard so far and then heard loud voices yelling from within the house. They stepped up to the front door to see what was going on. Nathan, seated out near the driveway, began yelling at the deputies, stating they were not allowed to enter the home.

As Deputy Green approached the door, a male and a female were both pleading with Paige to stop being excessively loud. They both tried to de-escalate Paige but ultimately stepped out of the doorway and asked Deputy Woodhouse and Deputy Green to take her into custody.

At this time, the officers entered the home to take Paige into custody. Paige attempted to evade them by running to the far side of the home, but she was apprehended and placed her under arrest.

Deputies managed the incident, and it was ultimately decided that Nathan would be left with a verbal warning for obstruction of justice for his role in harboring or concealing a person, warning a person of impending discovery or apprehension, and providing false information regarding a suspect, a witness, the conduct constituting an offense, or any other material aspect of the investigation.

Deputies informed Nathan that if they were to return tonight, he would be charged with obstruction. Nathan expressed gratitude and understanding for his warning and thanked the Deputies prior to their clearing of this incident. Nathan was left with a warning for intoxication charges due to the nature of the incident, the shouting, and the involvement of all persons proclaiming to have been drinking alcohol all evening.

Paige is being charged with intoxication for her being under the influence of alcohol to the degree that the person may endanger the person or another in a public place or in a private place where the person unreasonably disturbs other persons. Paige is being charged with disorderly conduct for causing a public inconvenience, annoyance, or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk of public inconvenience, annoyance, or alarm the person after having been asked to stop various times. Paige is being charged with failure to stop at the command of a peace officer for fleeing to the far side of the home for the purpose of avoiding arrest.

On 10/13/2024 at approximately 12:44 am, Deputies were dispatched to a call of disorderly conduct. Parties involved were reporting threats of violence from Nathan Nathan to the property owner, who reportedly had asked Nathan to leave the residence to go to his camper trailer repeatedly, and the requests were denied by Nathan’s threats being shouted in response.

The property owner called 911 and reported the incident after having separated himself from Nathan by stepping outside.

Central Dispatch reported on the call notes that threats of bodily harm from both the property owner and Nathan were overheard throughout the duration of the phone call from approximately 0044 hours to 0115 prior to the Deputies' arrival.

When Deputy Green arrived on the scene, he encountered the property owner and the same individuals from the night before standing outside the residence. The deputy asked where Nathan was, and they responded that he was in the living room.

Deputy Green walked inside and saw Nathan sitting in a lounge chair in the living room, holding an open alcoholic beverage in one hand.

Nathan was repeatedly questioned about what had occurred, and he replied, "nothing" and "I don't know."

Because of the nature of the call and the threatening behavior reported, Nathan was detained with handcuffs and escorted outside.

While outside, Deputy Green questioned a female about what had happened. She stated that after Deputies left the residence earlier in the night, Nathan returned to the house and started getting belligerent with the property owner.

The individuals on the property told Nathan that whenever he and his wife, Paige Ulrich, get together and start consuming alcohol, they cause problems. Ulrich acknowledged this.

All parties were questioned about whether the threats made between Nathan and the property owner were followed by any immediate show of force; all parties declared they were not because the two promptly separated.

Nathan stated that Deputy Green wouldn’t retrieve his statements, to which the deputy declared that he had given him ample opportunity inside the home to speak with him, but he declined to do so. The deputy also stated that he lost all credibility when he deliberately lied to him and Deputy Woodhouse and intentionally deterred their investigation only two hours prior.

After a review of the information gathered on scene and the statements shared by the parties involved, Nathan was taken into custody for new charges, including two counts of disorderly conduct after being asked to cease, one count of intoxication, and one count of obstruction of justice in a criminal investigation due to him being told at a prior incident this evening that if Law Enforcement was to return tonight, he would be arrested.
