Upalco, Ut.- On 1/29/23, The Duchesne County Sheriff's Office was forwarded a sexual abuse of a child case by DCSF that occurred in Upalco.
On 2/10/23, The victim told Detective Hunter during an interview while living at the home on 12/30/20 36-year-old Michael Ray Bywater told him to sleep on the living room floor and watch the dogs.
Later that night, he felt Michael taking off his pants, and he felt scared and angry. He thought Michael would stop if he kept his eyes closed like he was sleeping. But it didn't work, and Michael started touching his privates.
The victim said after a few minutes, Michael did stop and then brought one of the dogs into the room to lick the victim's private area.
A few months earlier, Michael requested the victim to start sleeping nude.
On 2/16/23, Detective Hunter and other Deputies with the Duchesne County Sheriff's Office went to Michael's home in Upalco and took him into custody.
Michael Ray Bywater was transported to the Duchesne County Jail without incident and booked on one count of sexual abuse of a child.
