Uintah County man threatens a female with a knife.

Ballard, Ut.-8/6/23, Deputy Helms was dispatched to a residence in Ballard on a domestic violence report. When the Deputy arrived and had secured the suspect in handcuffs and placed him in a patrol vehicle.

Deputy Helms went to the residence to speak with the victim. She stated her boyfriend, 58-year-old Jimmy Alden Bristol pushed her against the kitchen cabinets and threatened her with a knife.

The victim told the Deputy her sister and Jimmy were in a verbal argument this morning, and the victim told Jimmy, “To knock his shit off!”

The victim stated after she told Jimmy this, he came into the kitchen where she was and pushed her against the kitchen cabinets. Jimmy grabbed her neck, and she grabbed him by the face, leaving scratches on both sides of his face.

They then separated, and Jimmy grabbed a butter knife and advanced toward her threateningly. The victim told Jimmy, "Go ahead and do it," and told her sister to call the police. Jimmy threw the knife, and the argument continued. He then picked up a paring knife described as 3 inches long with a brown handle and held it like he would use it against the victim.

The victim stated that Jimmy threw the knife behind the sink, where the Officer found it and collected it for evidence. The butter knife couldn't be located.

Deputy Helms spoke with Jimmy on scene. Jimmy stated he didn't push or touch the victim. Jimmy was transported to the Uintah County Jail. While at the jail, Jimmy claimed the female was in the kitchen first, and she came in and grabbed his face.

Jimmy was booked into the Uintah County Jail for aggravated assault, domestic violence in the presence of a child.
