The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Department was called to a residence approximately 4.5 miles North of Roosevelt regarding a child sexual and physical abuse case.
A deputy met with DCFS and spoke with the suspect, 30-year-old Isaac Eduardo Jaramillo, while the DCFS caseworker talked to a witness.
Isaac told the deputy when the victim was younger, he would slap her on the butt. He compared it to a "good game" pat. Isaac also stated a few days ago, he and the victim got into an altercation where the victim jumped on his back. Isaac said he threw her off his back and smacked her in the mouth.
After the DCSF case worker spoke to the witness, the case worker stated the witness knew about sexual abuse happening between Isaac and the victim. The witness also stated she was afraid and wanted to escape but didn't know where to go.
The victim was removed from the home by DCFS that night.
On 4/28/25, a Duchesne County detective met and interviewed the victim at the Children's Justice Center.
The victim stated since the ages of 8 and 12, Isaac had sexually and physically abused her.
She said the abuse started at the age of eight when they moved in with Isaac. He would pick her up and throw her against a wall.
She stated that when she and her family moved out, Isaac would stalk them when they were at school. The victim said the abude randomly started again at the age of 9 after they returned to live with him.
The victim stated it started with Isaac slapping her on the butt, making the victim feel uncomfortable. She then said it then moved to car rides where Isaac would "massage" her over her clothes. She said this happened more than she can count.
Isaac would take the victim to a gas station in Roosevelt and park by the gas tanks. They would go inside the store, and Isaac would buy her a snack, then return to the truck and he would start to “massage" her. Isaac would ask if she liked it, and she would tell him no, Isaac would freeze up in fear.
The victim stated when her sister was born in the late summer of 2021, Isaac had asked the victim to come into the bedroom with him. She went into the bedroom with him, and Isaac began to touch her back and then under her shirt.
The victim stated she froze, was scared, and didn't know what to do. Isaac told her not to tell anyone, or he would go to prison, and his life would be over. She left the room and told her mother what had happened. The victim said "it" stopped for about a week, and then Isaac started slapping her on the butt again.
This abuse continued until two years ago when the victim said that the abuse was occurring and that there had been at least two times that Isaac had picked her up, punched, slapped, and hit.
She stated that Isaac would throw her to the floor and kick her with his steel-toe boots. The victim stated she couldn't breathe and that Isaac had slapped her face, causing her to have a bloody nose. The victim's mother took a picture of the injury and the victim showed the deputy the photo of the bloody nose.
The victim stated that this has also happened to her younger brother, who is 6 years old. She played a recording of him crying, saying Dad, you hurt me real bad. The victim said during this incident, Isaac told the 6-year-old to lie on his back and that he was going to beat him again.
During the interview, it was disclosed that Isaac touched the genital, breast, and buttocks of a minor more than could be counted. Isaac also knowingly hit, kicked, slapped, and punched both minors, causing one child to bleed.
Isaac was placed in custody, transported to the Duchesne County Jail, and held without bail.
