At around 5:00 am, dispatch received a call about a disorderly conduct at Escalante Drive in one of the apartments.
Call notes indicated that 51-year-old Steven Kenneth Ford was outside in the parking lot, yelling again and possibly under the influence of illegal narcotics.
Officer McCurdy responded to the address and located Steven in the apartment's parking lot. As the officer pulled into the parking lot, it appeared that Steven was talking to someone who wasn't there.
While the officer was speaking with Steven, he was sweating and couldn't stay in one place. Steven explained he was in spirit and living life, too. Steven told Officer McCurdy the day was Sunday when asked if he knew what day it was. Steven said he was having multiple spiritual battles with a third god. Steven explained having spiritual powers and fighting other Gods.
Steven acknowledged that he talks with these gods and sometimes sees them. Steven appeared to be hallucinating from illegal narcotic usage. Steven was showing common characteristics of someone under the influence of methamphetamine.
Officer McCurdy determined there was probable cause Steven was under the influence of a controlled substance to a degree he was a danger to himself and was placed under arrest.
A search was conducted of Steven's person, and inside his right pant pocket was a plastic sandwich bag with a white crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine.
Steven was transported to the Uintah County Jail, booked and was later released.
