Man arrested for not registering as a sex offender

Deputy Richens was informed by a detective with the Sex Offender Registry that 35-year-old Alexander Hatch was living on Bronco Road in Duchesne County.

The deputy arrived at the residence and spoke with Hatch, who told the deputy he was unaware of the requirements to register in Duchesne County and had only been living there for about a month.

Deputy Richens explained to Hatch that there is a three-day registration requirement. He also claimed he didn't know the specific address and was driving between Salt Lake and Duchesne, moving his belongings.

Hatch was arrested for failure to register and two outstanding warrants from Ogden.
