A traffic stop was conducted on a white Ford Mustang near 3000 North 8500 East in Uintah County. Just prior to stopping the Mustang, the deputy recognized the driver as 43-year-old Antonio Martinez Tinsley.
From previous knowledge, the deputy knew that Antonio was wanted on multiple active arrest warrants from local jurisdictions.
After stopping the vehicle, Antonio was informed that he was under arrest and was detained on the active warrants.
Deputy Fairey asked dispatch to check Antonio's personal information and found five active warrants. Antonio was listed as a sex offender on the Utah Sex Offender Registry and shown as non-compliant.
The deputy accessed the Utah Department of Corrections sex offender registry website and confirmed that Antonio was listed as non-compliant and that his current location was unknown. The record showed that Antonio had no current address listed and had not completed his bi-annual registration requirement.
The white Ford Mustang was also not listed on Antonio's registry as a vehicle he possessed or would be driving. He was listed on the Utah State database as the registered owner of the Mustang.
Antonio Tinsley was transported to the Uintah County Jail and booked in for the warrants and one count of felony three failure to register as a sex offender, Utah 77-41-107(1)(A).
At the jail, Antonio was read the Miranda admonition and declined to speak with the deputy.
