Uintah County Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Vernal regarding an assault.
It was reported that 33-year-old Kristoffer Brian Winslow, who is currently on AP&P, threatened to burn the victim's house down with her in it.
While Deputy Ogle was en route to the scene, it was reported that Kristoffer hit the victim and then left the residence in a gray SUV.
While on the scene, the victim said her grandson Kristoffer became upset with her because she wouldn't take him to Dinosaur, Colorado, to purchase drugs.
The victim stated Kristoffer got in her face, yelling at her and calling her names. He told her he was going to burn the house down with her in it and then hit her on the left side of her face, knocking her hearing aids and glasses off her head.
The victim had slight bruising on the left side of her face but stated she was okay and didn't need medical.
A Victim's advocate was called to fill out paperwork to obtain a protective order against Kristoffer.
Several officers, including Kristoffer's parole agent, tried to locate him before the end of the day, but they were unable to do so.
On 11/26/24, Kristoffer was found at Fairview Trailer Park and arrested. While at the Uintah County Jail Kristoffer was read his Miranda Rights and declined to speak with the deputy.
Kristoffer was served with a temporary protective order and was told not to contact the victim.
