A Man Claims The Drugs He Has On Him Is Because He Is Doing Undercover Work For AP&P

By Travis Uresk 11/5/23

Duchesne, Ut. 10/31/23 — A male was riding his bicycle along the sidewalk going East on Main St. when he was almost hit by a car pulling into a parking lot due to the rider being on the sidewalk without the required lamps on his bicycle.

Deputy Cox turned around and initiated a traffic stop on the male at 400 West Main St.

The male provided his ID and was identified as 42-year-old Christopher Micheal Christensen.

Christopher is currently on felony probation with Adult Probation and Parole (AP&P). Deputy Cox asked Christopher if he could do a compliance search on him for his AP&P agent. Christopher told Cox that wouldn't be a good idea because he was doing work for AP&P and had drugs on him. He said that his AP&P agent didn't know that he was doing this.

Christopher's AP&P agent was called, and he said he knew nothing about what Christopher was claiming to be doing. Christopher claimed that he was given the items just recently and that he had a box with some baggies and a scale. Cox opened the box and found a red plastic straw with white residue consistent with meth, several clear baggies and clear baggies with a small amount of meth inside, and a scale.

Christopher was arrested for possession of controlled substance meth and drug paraphernalia. Cox asked Chris if he had any weapons on him. He stated that he had three, one in his back pocket, one hanging off his front belt, and one in his boot.

Deputy Cox located a large pocket knife in his back pocket, a large curved knife in his boot, a small pocket knife hanging from his belt, and a fourth knife in another pocket.

Christopher is on felony probation and a convicted felon, making him a Category 1 restricted person. Chris was booked into the Duchesne County Jail.
