A Back Rub Turns To Rape, Male Heard Bragging On The Phone About What He Did

The victim was staying at her estranged boyfriend's home, 58-year-old Robert Dean Chacon, who has a part-time residency in Manila.
The victim stated that Robert convinced her to come and spend the weekend in Manila for Mother's Day. She said on Sunday, May 12th, 2024, she was experiencing back pain. Robert told her that he would give her a back rub. The victim stated she was reluctant, but Robert became insistent, and she allowed him to rub her back.
While rubbing her back, Robert insisted that she remove her shirt, which again was reluctant to do, but eventually gave in and removed her shirt. Robert continued to rub her back and then started on her lower back and moved toward her hips.
The victim stated after Robert was rubbing her hips, all of a sudden, she felt an excruciating pain in her vagina and lower back and then blacked out.
The victim said a short time later, she woke to the shower running. She said she heard Robert bragging to someone she believed he was talking to on the phone. Robert said, "Man, I got my fist in her all the way to my wrist."
The victim stated that she rolled over and attempted to sleep with no further communication or contact that night.
On the morning of the 13th, the victim left the residence in Manila and returned to her home. She went to the St. Mark's Emergency Center in West Valley City on the afternoon of May 13th. A rape kit and examination were done at that time. The initial report states that there are vaginal lacerations and bleeding, as well as extreme tenderness.
The victim stated that Robert texted her on the 13th, saying, "Hey, about last night? You better not tell anyone what happened. It's not like anyone will believe you anyway. Just remember what I've always told you if you try and leave me."
The victim stated that Robert has threatened her repeatedly about leaving him, stating things about him knowing people in the mafia and that he (Chacon) will hurt her, her family, and the kids.
On May 15th, 2024, the victim filed and was granted a protective order, which was served prior to arrest on 5/18/24 at 1:18 pm. The protective order was served at his residence in Manila, Utah.
Robert Dean Chacon is being held in the Uintah County Jail without bail.
