A 19-year-old gets upset when his Grandmother tells him to go to bed

Vernal, Ut. On the night of December 12th, 2023, Deputies responded to a medical assist of a 19-year-old who had cut himself.
Deputy Jones arrived at the residence and found 19-year-old Damin Andrew Rivera walking down the stairs with a bleeding arm and his 12-year-old friend with him. Deputy Jones had Damin sit in a chair while he assessed his injuries. The deputy noticed broken glass on the stairs and floor. There were broken picture frames and a decorative box lying on the floor.
Deputy Jones asked Damin if he had caused the mess and why. Damin responded that his grandmother had yelled at him about going to bed, to which Damin responded by getting angry and then throwing and breaking items in the upstairs bedroom, hallway, and down the stairs.
While in a rage, Damin threw either a picture or a ceramic Scentsy holder. It hit his grandmother in the back of the head, causing her to bleed. Neither Damin nor his grandmother knew what had hit her due to Damin reacting so violently.
Damin was arrested and transported to the Uintah County Jail.
Where shall I begin? There is so much wrong with this!
1.) Why does a 19-year-old have a 12-year-old as a friend in his room watching him cut himself?
2.) Why is there not a charge of domestic violence on a senior citizen? FYI in a lot of States that's an enhancement because you don't beat on or hit a senior citizen especially one that is allowing you to live under the roof I don't care if it's a grandson or not!!!
3.) Why were the only injuries he had was from himself self-inflicted? He should have had a black eye maybe a split lip busted nose!
