Vernal, Ut.- On 3/9/23, Deputy Russell was dispatched to a report of a domestic assault. Dispatch advised they could hear a female in the background yelling and a male saying she would smash his motorcycle.
When the Deputy arrived and made contact with the female, 20-year-old Haylee Alena Searle was standing under the carport yelling at a male subject.
Haylee stated that she and the male had gotten into an argument, and she had lost her temper. She grabbed his motorcycle helmet, went outside to the carport, and swung and threw the helmet on the ground but didn't hit the motorcycle.
Haylee said that after the male tackled her to the ground, he held her there while he called 911.
Haylee also admitted when he let her up, and she slammed her head into the hood of a truck that was parked in the carport.
Deputy Russell then spoke with the male, who said they both argued over him hanging out with his friends, and he was going to leave the residence. He stated Haylee got upset, grabbed the helmet off the bed, and said she would smash his motorcycle.
Haylee went out the back door, so he went out the front door and met her at the carport. They started to argue in the carport, and she threw the helmet and missed his motorcycle, so he grabbed hold of her arms to keep her from hitting him.
Haylee spun around so the male grabbed her around the waist from behind to hold on to her, and she pushed him into the truck fender, and they both fell to the ground. While on the ground, Haylee hit the man with the helmet in the side and pushed him into a pile of wood.
The male stated Haylee dragged him across the concrete, and he finally got on top of her to hold her down while he called 911. The man said while he was on the phone with 911, he tried to separate from Haylee, and she slammed the door to the carport, hit her head on the wall, and started hitting her head on the truck parked inside the carport causing two small dents to the hood.
The Deputy saw the male had scuff marks on both hands and a scratch mark on his forehead, which he said was from the concrete. He showed the Deputy another scratch on his shoulder that was from the concrete.
Haylee was arrested and transported to the Uintah County Jail for assault, domestic violence, and criminal mischief for causing property damage.
