The Uintah County Sheriff’s Office received a tip concerning illegal narcotics at the residence of 45-year-old Brian Kay Carroll at 2700 West 1000 South.
Deputy Oldham gathered additional information from Deputy Ogle and Sgt Watkins' prior cases involving Brian's residence involving illegal drugs.
The tip stated Brian was overheard saying they needed to remove the meth and fentanyl from the camper into the house. It was also disclosed that a 4-year-old child was present.
When the deputy arrived at the address, he met with a male, Leslie Billings SR, who is Brian's roommate in the camper. Leslie informed the deputies that he noticed a small piece of tin foil with burnt carbon on the bed about a week ago. Leslie told the deputies he knew what it was used for due to his past history involving illegal narcotics.
With the information obtained from the tip and the prior involvement with Brian, a search warrant was applied for and approved by the on-call judge. Brian is currently on pre-trial with the 8th District Court on possession with intent to distribute and other drug offenses.
Deputy Oldham obtained Brian's UA report, and it showed Brian was tested for illegal narcotics on April 5th, 9th, 11th, and 14th. He was positive for methamphetamine, MDM, and AMP. There is clear evidence on a prior date that Brian Carroll sold two 8 balls of meth for $200.00 out of the camper on the property.
Today's search warrant on his residence obtained possible fentanyl, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, including pipes and two scales, tooter straws, tin foil with burnt carbon, and also syringes.
Deputy Oldham requested that Brian be held without bail due to his violating the pre-trial requirement and testing positive for narcotics.
