Vernal, Ut.-On 5/22/23, Deputies were dispatched to the Uintah Basin Medical Center in Vernal of a report of a rape of a 17-year-old female victim.
The victim stated that sometime during the night, she woke up to 34-year-old Colter James Christensen having sex with her. The incident took place at a residence in Uintah County.
The Uintah County Deputies collected evidence, and it is being processed.
The juvenile victim was interviewed at the Criminal Justice Center in Vernal, and again she disclosed after going to bed on May 21st, 2023, she woke up with Colter on the side of her having sex with her.
Colter was asked to do an interview but he advised them had legal representation and denied to do the interview.
Colter Christensen was taken into custody and booked into the Uintah County Jail for rape.
