Uintah County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a disorderly in progress located at 1700 S Vernal Ave, Vernal Memorial Cemetery. Dispatch advised the two males removed their shirts and were physically pushing each other.

As the deputies entered the cemetery, two males and a female were standing on the hill.

Deputy Oldham exited his vehicle and called over a male he recognized to come over to him. The male explained to the deputy that there wasn't a physical altercation between the two.

The male stated that he and 27-year-old Dylan Wayne Weldon were only having a verbal altercation, and Dylan was attempting to remove his shirt, and he helped Dylan take his shirt off.

Deputy Oldham then went to speak with Dylan and saw that he had bruises and minor lacerations to his forehead, along with open scab wounds on his hands. He also had blood on his shirt and pants.

Dylan stated he had gotten into a fight four days ago, and he had picked at the scabs on his hands.

Sgt Hill was standing near Dylan's vehicle and saw an open container of alcohol on the center console. There were also several pieces of burnt tinfoil lying on the floor of the car.

Sgt Hill retrieved his partner, K9 Sarik, to conduct a free air sniff around Dylan's vehicle. K9 Sarik gave a positive indication of illegal narcotics inside the car.

Deputy Ogle and Sgt Hill conducted a vehicle search and located a plastic tooter straw near the container of alcohol. On the passenger side were multiple tinfoil pieces with burnt residue. Also located was a second plastic straw tooter near a small bag with a small amount of white powder.

Dylan was read his rights and admitted that he used the drug paraphernalia for consuming opioids. He was then placed under arrest and transported to the Uintah County Jail.

Dylan Wayne Weldon may post bail in the amount of $1,000.00.
