On 11/8/24, Uintah Basin Narcotics Task Force (UBNSF) Commander Cannon obtained a search warrant for a residence located at 750 North 150 East in Uintah County. The search warrant was due to information on drug distribution coming from the residence.
On 11/9/24, UBNSF Agents executed a search warrant at the residence of 46-year-old Travis Jerry Davies. Upon entering the residence, Commander Cannon met Travis in his bedroom's entryway.
Travis was secured in handcuffs by Agents and placed in a patrol vehicle. No other individuals were located in the residence.
During the search of the residence, two bags containing approximately 300 blue Fentanyl pills were located in his bedroom. Also in his bedroom were several other small baggies and a scale were found.
Based on the Agent's training and experience, 300 Fentanyl pills are not for personal use, and the presence of several small baggies and a scale indicate likely drug sales. Also located in Travis's bedroom was a large glass bong containing a white crystalline substance consistent with methamphetamine.
Travis was transported to the Uintah County Jail, where Commander Cannon met and advised him of his Miranda Rights. Travis stated he didn't want to speak with the Agent without his lawyer present.
Travis was booked into the Uintah County Jail for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance (a 1st Degree Felony due to prior convictions), Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance (a 3rd Degree Felony due to prior convictions), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
