Uintah County Deputies were dispatched to assist the Utah Highway Patrol regarding a welfare check in the area of 2500 East US-40.
The first complainant reported that people standing in the roadway seemed to be intoxicated. The second complainant reported to dispatch he was contacted by his friend DJ, later identified as 49-year-old Denny Jay Hatch, who stated that both parties had been physically and verbally fighting.
Deputy O’Donnal arrived on scene where a vehicle was partially blocking the intersection with the front driver tire completely off the axle.
The deputy found Denny at the Naples Maverick and asked what had happened and what potential domestic disturbance had occurred. Denny stated nothing physical had happened, but he and the victim were driving when the vehicle broke down. Denny said they both left the vehicle and eventually separated from each other.
Deputy O’Donnal informed Denny he was free to leave as he had not made contact with the victim and was unsure of any domestic disturbance/crime had been committed. Denny requested a cab pick him up and take him back to Jensen.
While looking for the victim, the deputy found a protective order out of Garfield County, Colorado. He contacted the Garfield County Sheriff's Office and confirmed the protective order was still active between the parties. The protective order stated that Denny was not supposed to be in contact with the victim or make threats. The order also stated that Denny was not to possess or consume alcohol.
Deputy O’Donnal found the victim walking West on US-40 and made contact with her. He asked her to tell him her side of the story.
The victim explained that she and Denny left from a residence in Vernal City and traveled to Jensen to move a trailer. The victim stated they then left Jensen and began traveling westbound on Highway 40.
The victim stated they stopped at the truck stop to grab drinks and then continued westbound on Highway 40 when they began having vehicle issues. The victim also stated Denny had been making threats against her life and was going to burn her trailer down.
Another deputy was requested to respond to the residence in Vernal, where the cab dropped Denny off.
Deputy Fairey located Denny at the residence, and he placed Denny under arrest for the protective order violation.
Deputy Fairey stated that upon a search incident to arrest, he located a glass marijuana pipe with burnt residue concealed in his pocket. Deputy Fairey also stated Denny was under the influence of alcohol and showed positive on a portable breath test.
Denny Hatch was arrested for:
One count of a Protective Order Violation for having been in direct contact with the victim and making threats towards her, a Class A Misdemeanor with a qualifying Domestic Violence enhancement.
One count of Unlawful Purchase by Interdicted Person for having consumed an alcoholic product while being an interdicted person, a Class B Misdemeanor.
One count of Possession of Marijuana for having been in possession of a green leafy substance consistent with Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor.
One Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, for being in possession of an object (glass pipe) used or intended for the use of inhaling a controlled substance into the human body, is a Class C Misdemeanor.
All the articles that come from 1nationjustice.com are from the affidavits & probable cause reports that the officers write. If you would like you can get a copy of the report from the website below. It does cost money to open every document you want to read. You can also look up any case in the state of Utah from this site.
I would like to apologize for the lack of articles lately. A tragedy happened in November 2023 that altered my family and my life. The day before, my Aunt and Uncle were to come to the Basin for Thanksgiving they were shot along with an elderly couple. The only survivor was my Aunt and the surveyor.
A male and a female named Hanme Clark and Nancy Rae Medina Kochis planned and murdered three people over what he thought was trespassing. Clark took it to court twice and lost his case both times. When he didn't like what the courts said, he took it upon himself to get rid of the people in his way.
My Aunt and Uncle were in the wrong place at the wrong time. All they were doing was helping the elderly couple build a new fence. Their names are Rob Geers, 63, and his wife, Beth Wade Geers, 73. If you would have sat in that court room on July 24th, and listened to the Sheriff read all three autopsies you wouldn't believe the evil of what Clark did to these three wonderful people.
After the shooting, they fled the state of Colorado and were caught in New Mexico, where they fought extradition for about a month. Clark is in jail with a $2 million cash-only bond, and Nancy was released after paying a $100,000 cash-only bond.
There is so much to this story. Hanme and Nancy run a wellnes center called Herbal Gardens Wellness Center. It is fake. Clark and Medina claim to be Native American and they help other Native American's. None of that is true. She is hispanic and he is Korean. In the Youtube video he tells the officer's he was born in Korea.
