Police dispatched to a noise complaint. Police arrive and watch a male pull out a gun

Vernal, Utah (5/30/26)—At around 2:00 am, Vernal City Police responded to a noise complaint of someone having a loud party.
When officers arrived at the address, they saw three males leaving the residence. Police overheard one of the males say, "You better watch out for the cops," when 24-year-old Damin John-Henry White pulled a handgun out of his waistband.
Police then observed Damin rack the slide with a bullet exiting the chamber while still behind the other individuals with the pistol pointed in the area where the other people were.
Officer Maughan ordered Damin to drop the gun, which he did. The fully loaded magazine and handgun were secured and placed on a patrol vehicle.
While Officer Maughan spoke with Damin, he could smell the strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath. He asked Damin how much he had to drink. He stated he had drunk multiple beers.
Damin submitted to a portable breath test, which resulted in a BrAC .153.
Officer Maughan determined that there was probable cause to arrest Damin for intoxication and carrying a dangerous weapon while intoxicated. He was then transported to the Uintah County Jail.
