Vernal Police were dispatched to the Marriot Springhill Suites on a report of a female subject, appearing to be intoxicated, kicking doors on the second floor.
While responding to the call, it was reported that the female was dressed in a pink top and possibly gray pants, had left the hotel eastbound, and was stumbling.
When police arrived, a male pointed them to a female lying on the lawn at 1140 West 500 South. The officers approached the female who was lying on her back, her clothing in disarray, and no shoes.
The female opened her bloodshot, glossy eyes to several officers looking at her. She also had a very strong odor of alcohol coming from her person.
As the female tried to stand up, she stumbled and tried to walk away from the police but collapsed. For everyone's safety, she was placed in handcuffs.
While she was being handcuffed, she had a Utah driver's license in her hand, identifying her as 35-year-old Judith Francis Pena.
Judith was transported to Ashley Regional Medical Center for medical clearance, and when cleared, she was taken to the Uintah County Jail, where she was incarcerated for intoxication.
Judith Francis Pena may post bail in the amount of $230.00.
If Judith Francis Pena posts bail as stated above, Judith Francis Pena is hereby ordered to be released subject to the following conditions:
• Promise to appear for all required court proceedings
• Promise to not commit any criminal offense
• Report your contact information and any change in address, phone, or email to the Court and your attorney within 1 business day of the change
