At 10:30 PM, Vernal City Police Officers were dispatched to the Antlers Inn at 423 West Main Street to a group of people who were drinking and fighting.

Officers talked with several people, including 39-year-old Nathan L. Head. All parties agreed to separate, and officers cleared the scene.

Later on that night, at around 1:00 AM, officers were dispatched back to the Antlers Inn to the same people fighting.

Police spoke with Nathan again and were told that he needed to go back to his room and sleep it off. He agreed and went back to his motel room.

While officers were talking to other parties involved, Nathan came out of his room and began talking loudly. Officer Randall told Nathan if he didn’t go back into his room and stay there the rest of the night, he would be taken to jail. Nathan agreed and went back into his room.

Nathan's actions throughout the night caused other parties to become frustrated with him for his obnoxious behavior. Another male stated to officers that Nathan had been the leading cause of the issues throughout the night.

The police began speaking with the other people involved again while Nathan remained in his room, looking out the open window.

Officer Monsen advised Nathan that he had already been warned several times to close the window and go to sleep so he wouldn't end up in jail.

As the officer began to drive around the corner of the building, Nathan stepped outside.

Officer Maughan placed Nathan under arrest and took him to the hospital for medical clearance due to his level of intoxication. Once cleared, he was transported to the Uintah County Jail.

Nathan Head may post bail in the amount of $350.00.
