Police arrest a man driving with a revoked license, and have to drag him out of his residence

On Thursday, May 14th, 2026, Cpl. Ross was informed of a reported traffic offense: that 59-year-old Billy Quinn Pierce was driving with a revoked license.
Earlier in the day, The Corporal had responded to Billy's residence for a separate issue and confirmed Billy's license status was REVOKED MANDATORY OFFENSE.
Cpl. Ross watched the reported vehicle pull into the garage and saw Billy exit the driver's seat. The officer attempted to speak with Billy, but he quickly went inside the residence. The officer spoke with a family member of Billy's, and he shortly returned outside.
Billy began arguing with Cpl. Ross about operating the vehicle and would not walk away from the garage door. The officer started to approach Billy, but he quickly retreated back inside the residence with the officer right behind him.
Billy entered the threshold of the garage door as the officer grabbed him around the chest as he continued moving throughout the kitchen. As Billy continued to resist, he was thrown to the ground.
As Cpl. Ross placed Billy's right arm behind his back. He stated that his arm was injured from a past surgery, but he continued to resist by pulling his arm away from the officer.
Billy was given multiple commands to comply, but would not. He was then handcuffed and escorted to a patrol vehicle. Billy was transported to the Uintah County Jail without further incident.
While at the Jail, Billy stated to the deputies that he was just driving to get his mother's medication.
Cpl. Ross determined there was probable cause for the arrest of Billy Pierce. A witness observed Billy driving a motor vehicle around Vernal City limits.
Billy Pierce was charged with the following:
-Interfere with the Arresting Officer
-Driving on a Revoked License
